Innocent Littleness…please stay a little longer

My son is starting pre-k and I am having mixed feelings about the transition. A recent experience showed that while not even 5 years old yet, he is already starting the transformation from living in his own wonderful imaginative little world, to living in the big world where peer pressure and influence really does make a difference.

A Midwestern Boy Goes to The Shore

“Haven’t you ever been to a beach?” This is the question I was asked as a follow up to the numerous questions I had about visiting Ocean City, Maryland prior to our family vacation. I learned over the course of 4 days, that although I have indeed been to beaches, I had never been to one like this.

Updates and Raising Money for my buddy Jack

I am having a really unusual week, full of emotional ups and downs and I can’t even talk about it. But I wanted to send out a blog post because I have undertaken a new project to help raise some money for a little boy named Jack. I have recently made his acquaintance and offered to help his Mom raise money to get him to SpaceCamp this month. Read all about it in this blog post, and please consider making a small contribution to the effort. If we get a lot of people to give just a little, he will be on his way in just a few short weeks. Time is critical here.

Hi 2011, My Name is Dan Gennari and I am Here to Whoop You.

I have realized that my last post about my PET scan results took a negative perspective and I want to set the record straight that I am not as upset about the results as it sounded in that post. I was angry at the time and more upset than the results warranted. I am fine now and I have a lot of positive things happening in my life. The PET scan is not guiding or directing my happiness. There is to much news to preview here, so just read the post.

Update from Angela

Dan has been feeling pretty bad over the past few days, so I wanted to jump on his blog and send everyone an update (warning, this will be a more graphic and emotional post than he would normally write).  I picked him up from Emory hospital this morning and he has been sleeping for most … Continue reading »

Angela is a Lucky Lady!

My hair is falling out really fast because of ICE chemotherapy for Hodgkins Lymphoma. But despite it falling out, I felt really good today and even went mountain biking.

Take Me Out To The Ballgame

I had no plans for tonight, so when I got an email yesterday from my old co-worker Vicky asking if I would like two tickets to the Braves game tonight,  I jumped at it.  I picked up Dominic from school and after completing a few errands, we drove downtown and picked up the tickets from … Continue reading »

Overflowing With Happiness

It is Sunday morning and my euphoric feelings from Friday have not stopped…in fact, things have gotten much better.  I continue to have these little revelations of things I can do and my wounds are healing very fast, parially by sheer will I believe.  Yesterday morning I spent a good bit of time in the … Continue reading »
