I think people forget about their buying power, or relinquish it too easily. If everyone upped and decided that they would only buy organic food from Walmart, then Walmart would move heaven and earth to have nothing but organic food to sell.

Same goes with stores. If the American public decided that time spent with the family was more important that buying a flat screen TV, then Black Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday would not exist. But sadly, this is America, and we will soon be reading articles about how hordes of people are lining up outside the closest Best Buy to get that electronic gizmo they never knew they couldn’t live without. I just hope that these herds of shoppers don’t trample another big box store clerk to death like last year. That was truly insane and very very sad.

I totally agree. The best deal you can get is being with your family when you can. Better then any “Deal” you could get at a store.

I have stumbled upon your blog while researching BMT for my husband of 18 years. He has had a recurrence of Hodgkins after a nine year remission. Back then we didn’t have our son (who is 7) so it’s a whole new ball game for us. Chris is signed up to follow your blog and I hope it helps him cope and gain some insight on things to come. I will follow it as well and sift through the years you have shared. I am so happy you have recently celebrated your first transplant birthday. I am also excited about the CUREganizer. I was hoping I would never again need such a product but unfortunately I do so I am glad to find it. Good luck!
